The Academy of Student Governance of the DSUM continues its work. The students of DSUM and DLI visited the Ukrainian Leadership Academy as part of their Academy studies.

Andriy Pavlenko, UAL volunteer mentor, told the students about the opportunities offered by the UAL training program, during which they acquire skills of self-knowledge, analysis of social challenges, teamwork and communication to better understand themselves, Ukraine and the world in which we live.

“Be free! Be real! Be a friend! Be wise! Be creative! Be! Because we are Ukraine! These are the values that are crucial in the formation of a conscious and progressive citizen, a holistic and harmonious personality”– said Andriy Pavlenko

Students of our Academy also learn how to make decisions based on such values. The values are a basic guide, especially when the choices are hard.

The participants of the training also exchanged views on the quality and skills that must have a real youth leader, shared their experiences in community activities, volunteer movement.

Andriy Pavlenko also shared his own experiences of volunteering, and noted that the involvement of young people in public life through volunteering is a very powerful force for change in our community.The meeting was held in the friendly atmosphere. So we hope for further cooperation with UAL. There is lot of interesting events ahead for the students of our Academy of Student Governance.
